Helen Delancey, President

Helen worked for 8 years as office manager for two doctors offices.  She and her husband had a construction business for several years in Marble Falls. She has also worked with Special Olympics for many years.  Helen and her mother quilted many quilts while her mother lived with her.  She enjoys working and helping people to enjoy life and have fun at the center.  In her spare time when she is not at the center working in the office, she likes to play games (especially 42), work on puzzles, and enjoy time with her 3 sons and family.


Doug Peacock, 2nd Vice President

Doug was born in Dublin, Texas and was the youngest of five siblings.  He graduated from Dublin High school and went on to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps.  Doug is a WWII veteran and was a part of General MacArthur's Occupational Forces of Japan.

After returning to civilian life, he went on to continue  his education at UT Austin, Tarleton State and North Texas State.  Following college Doug owned several oilfield related businesses.  Doug ventured into a real estate business with his wife Vaughni.  After her death he moved to Horseshoe Bay to be closer to his daughter and son-in-law.  Doug's retirement is focused as a senior enriching the life of seniors through church and Bible study groups and senior center participation.


Robert Quigley - President Emeritus

Bob was born in Abbeville, Louisiana.  He graduated with a Masters degree in Mathematics.  He began teaching at Texas A & I University and retired from Austin Community College after 35 years of teaching.  He worked for numerous Non Profit organizations during his teaching career.  Bob and his wife moved to Marble Falls in 1990 to escape the crowds in Houston after retiring from working with oil field service companies.  He raises Longhorns and enjoys gardening.  


Janelle Boatright - Board Member

Janelle and her husband Carroll owned a carpet and interiors store in Abilene for over 29 years.  They also built houses.  Janelle was president of the Ladies Aux. of the Home Builders Assoc.  Because of her husband's illness they retired and moved to Cedar Park.  She was active for over 20 years at the Treasure of the Hills Senior Center.  After her husband's death she married family friend Joe Boatright.  They both were active at senior center helping to redecorating and landscaping the center.  Janelle was also Queen Mother of the Red Hats for 10 years.  Janelle and Joe moved to Marble Falls in 2015 and joined the Marble Falls Senior Activity Center.


Dena Burroughs - Board Member

Dena grew up in Iowa.   She and her husband retired to Meadowlakes in 2018.  They moved here to be closer to their daughter and family.    She taught at a business school in Phoenix and also worked in the construction, accounting and fuel industries.  She retired from the fuel industry where she was in sales for over 25 years.  She has 2 granddaughters that she loves spending time with.  In her spare time she volunteers at the Marble Falls Senior Center in the office and also at the Pregnancy & Life Center.  She likes to read, work on crafts and is a beginner quilter.

Paula King - Board Member

Paula moved from Houston to the Hill Country in 1991 after a successful career in the Insurance industry.  She worked for American General and Allstate for 20 years while raising a family of 4 girls.  Paula discovered the Marble Falls Senior Center while attending a Fish Fry and joined on the spot.  Her favorite past-times are reading and playing 42.

Lisa Matula - Board Member

Lisa was born in Freeport, Tx and spent several years living in Brazoria,TX.   She is married to her high school sweetheart David  and they have one daughter Cally who with her husband Zach has blessed them with 2 grandchildren with another on the way.  Lisa  went to Texas A & M University were she received a BS degree in Industrial Technology with a Specialty in Safety Engineering. 

Over the years she has held several positions in the field of safety. During that time she spent 4

years working with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on rewriting the NRC FFD code of federal regulations.   Lisa and David retired to the Marble Falls area in 2017.  They enjoy fishing, swimming and entertaining family and friends.

Betty McGuffey - Board Member

Betty has lived in Marble Falls for over 40 years and her two sons were raised here.  She worked with the school district as a Headstart paraprofessional for several years.  She got into the healthcare  field after several years so that she could care for her elderly mother.  That is when she started working for Granite Mesa as a certified nurses aid.  She has been with Granite Mesa for over 10 years.  Her job now includes marketing.   She has worked in the healthcare system since she was in high school.  Betty became involved with the Marble Falls Senior Center about three years ago.   She enjoys working with many wonderful people that love the great Community of Marble Falls


Paul Theilig - Board Member

Paul was born in Houston .  He Lived several places before moving here in 2000.  He has worked as a deliver driver, daycare teacher, wheelabrator operator, grinder and melter at a foundry and also as a graveyard clerk at a convenience store for 20 years.

Laurie Woodruff - Board Member

Jean Rinehart is the part-time Administrative Assistant provided by the AARP SCSEP Program. 

Jean moved to the Hill Country about 6 years ago after working 54 years in the oil and gas industry in West Texas.  She currently still holds her membership on the Board of Directors of the Permian Basin International Oil Show and recently retired from the Desk and Derrick International Association after serving 41 years where she was named the International Oil Gal of the Year in 2016.  Jean has two daughters, four grandsons and one granddaughter who reside in the Midland area and the DFW complex.
